Lunch at 1000 Pound Bend today.
Been meaning to try this place for a while - unfortunately, it disappointed as I thought it might.
Lots of space, and looks pretty good for a Bohemian kinda place. Ordered a Kangaroo Burger and a latte… not the hardest order of all time, you would think.
The burger was probably nice - hard to tell because it was smothered in a forest of rocket drowning in mayonnaise. The latte never arrived… when I asked what had happened to it said they’d given it to someone else - who, with obvious community spirit, failed to mention he hadn’t ordered it.
To be fair, the latte was pretty nice - although I took it to go after the meal. If the staff had spent more time concentrating on their jobs rather than trying to chat each other up, it may have been a less disappointing experience…
